About Us - Meet Dr. Minahan

Dr. Lara Minahan received her dental degree (D.D.S.) at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, MD. Prior to beginning her dental training, Dr. Minahan conducted research for the Johns Hopkins Oncology Center.

In addition, Dr. Minahan holds a Masters of Science (M.S.) in oral biology achieved concomitantly with her orthodontic specialty residency at the University of Maryland Dental School.

Dr. Minahan is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Southern Maryland Dental Association.

Although born in Madison, Wisconsin, Dr. Minahan spent most of her childhood on the east coast and abroad. Dr. Minahan’s first language is French.

She currently lives in Brookeville, Maryland with her husband Rob, and her dear children, Eva and Ginger. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys playing tennis, dancing, cooking, hiking and the theatre.
